How do I listen to the voiceover of a chapter in By David J. Waldron?
Text-to-speech lets you listen to ByDJW chapters in the Substack app in just two steps.
Note: Text-to-speech is available in manuscript chapters. I plan on cloning my voice with AI and using it for the official audiobook release upon global publication.
Substack’s voiceover is only available on the app.
For Substack voiceover:
1. Open the post in the Substack App and tap on the play icon at the top right of your screen for the published chapters.
2. The audio will automatically start playing in the app player.
Tips for text-to-speech:
Like a podcast episode or voiceover, the audio will play in the background unless you tap to pause or fully exit/fully close the app, i.e., remove it from your device’s menu of open apps.
Each chapter will have a Substack voiceover.
Tip: Text-to-speech is only available on the Substack App and for chapters written in English.
Only Founding Lifetime and Premium subscribers can listen to audio in paywalled full-text chapter posts.
Free subscribers can listen only to previews of posts for paywalled chapters.
